Chrysalis to Create New Centrally Located Donation CenterWith twenty five years of continual growth, Chrysalis is running out of space for the increasing number of essential donations needed for our programs. Donations of clothing, household items, program equipment and supplies are crucial, but having space for clients and program services is even more imperative. Chrysalis locations now stretch across the Valley making a centralized donation location a necessity and an invaluable safety precaution. In 2007, longtime friends and volunteers of Chrysalis, Roger and Marj Pelham generously issued a challenge to move Chrysalis closer to the goal of a sustainable donation center. Individuals and groups donated over $40,000 for the new donation center. The Pelhams generously matched these contributions dollar for dollar allowing for Chrysalis to move forward in establishing a donation center. Chrysalis is currently looking for a centrally located space to house the donations as well as seeking items to set up the new location. Please check back with us to see our progress and learn how you can bring your donated items to the new center starting in late spring. Wish list for Donation CenterA location:

Email:chrysalis@noabuse.org if you are interested in assisting in the above ways. A few words from generous donors to this fund: "We feel that this is a very important step in supporting both of our crisis shelters. There is
a huge need for better storage and dissemination of donations, with the added benefit of a future
source of added funds through E-Bay sales and a future Thrift Shop." "This center would more effectively mobilize and utilize donations, thereby creating an efficient
pathway to better assisting the women and children served directly by Chrysalis." |
